RETO HELLAS
In 2001, a small group of volunteers from Reto a la Esperanza of Spain, launches its action on the infamous streets of Athens. In 2003, Reto Hellas - Challenge of Hope, legally established as a non-profit association and starts its multiple operations throughout Greece. Today it is located in Athens, Thessaloniki and Heraklion Crete.
ESTABLISHMENT
The creation of the international organization Reto a la esperanza (Challenge of Hope)
dates back to late May 1985 in Cantabria, Spain, where its founder, a man of Christian principles, began offering help to drug addicts in the area.
In the 1990s , many men and women who had lived in torment for years due to drug addiction were "born again" literally, and a desire was born within them to help other people in the same situation.
In this way , with a Christian missionary heart, Reto expanded to other European countries, establishing a notable presence in the Balkans, as well as in the Americas, Australia, and three African countries: Tanzania, South Africa, and Mozambique.
PURPOSE AND MEANS
Reto Hellas is a non-profit association with a charitable character, legally established on 03/06/2003, with Association Registry Number 24.606.
The primary goal of the association is to provide immediate and free material, spiritual, moral, and social assistance to marginalized individuals, particularly drug addicts, through the following means:

Continuous presence in marginalized neighborhoods of each city, offering meals, discussions, and distributing leaflets, encouraging and motivating drug addicts to take the step towards rehabilitation.

Introduction to recognized detention centers in Spain, Italy and Cyprus.

Organized roofs in Athens, Thessaloniki and Heraklion Crete.

Ποιος είναι ο στόχος του Reto;
Να μεταδώσει ελπίδα και να προτείνει λύσεις σε όλους εκείνους τους ανθρώπους που κάποια στιγμή στη ζωή τους αισθάνονται χαμένοι και δεν μπορούν να βρουν διέξοδο στα προβλήματά τους.

Με δωρεές υλικών, επίπλων, ρούχων και κάθε είδους αντικειμένων, τα οποία αποτελούν την πρώτη ύλη για τα καταστήματά μας με μεταχειρισμένα είδη.
Γιατί κάνουμε όλα αυτά;
Η δωρεάν βοήθεια που προσφέρουμε βασίζεται στην αγάπη και την ευγνωμοσύνη προς τον Θεό, καθώς και στην αγάπη προς τον συνάνθρωπο.
Οι περισσότεροι από εμάς που αποτελούμε την ομάδα του Reto έχουμε ξεπεράσει, με τη βοήθεια του Θεού, τα όρια της απόγνωσης μπροστά σε διάφορες καταστάσεις της ζωής. Γι’ αυτό, το δικό μας κίνητρο και αλλά και του Reto είναι να μεταδώσουμε ελπίδα σε όλους εκείνους που μπορεί να βρίσκονται στην ίδια κατάσταση.
WHY
WE CAN HELP FREE;
Because of its self-funded nature of association. Reto Hellas is financially supported from the activities that develops itself in society and related with society, as well with donations of materials and food from various companies and non-profit organizations. Second-hand stores Reto, is the main source of income of the association. When a fellow citizen is no longer needed items that can be reused (furniture, decorations, electrical appliances, etc.) he call's us and receive them free of charge.
